AMVOX2 DBS Transponder Watch
• The transponder module not only had to be reduced to a size that could fit inside a watch case, but its geometry and wiring had to be completely redesigned from a watchmaker’s perspective – a feat of technical inventiveness that required 18 months of dedicated engineering work.
• Unlike the chronograph vertical trigger mechanism, in which the entire case pivots, the locking system uses capacitive technology to react to contact with the ‘OPEN’ and ‘CLOSE’ zones.
• The AMVOX2 Transponder may be used to unlock the DBS at a distance of up to 10 metres.
• Since a mechanical watch protects its movements from the influence of electrical fields that may adversely affect its precision, the antenna for the transponder is metallised on the inside of the sapphire crystal.
