Upon arrival in Bordeaux you are invited to experience wine blending and tasting in a famous wine producing chateau. You will also receive welcome drinks and dinner at the hotel.
Bordeaux to Loire Valley
After a traditional French breakfast in the hotel you can enjoy the hotel's facilities or begin your journey to the Loire Valley. The journey takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes leaving you with plenty of time to stop off at a chateau for more wine tasting, or travel via Cognac and visit the famous Cognac House. Alternatively you could visit the wine caves in Saumur where wine makers leave their wine to rest. The drive to and through the Loire Valley consists of beautiful, open and quiet roads with magnificent views.
In the evening guests will share their experiences of the day during the drinks reception and dinner.
Loire Valley to Champagne region
After breakfast take a leisurely drive to the Champagne region in your own time. However, you may wish to explore the Loire Valley further by visiting the fairytale castle Chateau Saumur, enjoying a walk along the river or a bike ride around the vineyards. The journey to the Champagne region takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Experience the thrill of some of France's most magnificent roads whilst driving through Reims, arriving in the Champagne region mid-afternoon to check-in to your hotel for a two night stay. You are invited to a private guided tour of the illustrious Louis Roederer champagne house where you will visit the cellars and enjoy a personally hosted dinner with the managing director Michel Janneau.
Relax at the hotel or enjoy the surrounding countryside and vineyards. Various optional experiences can be organised on your behalf including a hot air balloon flight over the vineyards, day trip to Paris or visit of the cellars at Moet et Chandon, Mumm or Taittinger Champagne.
For the second night in this hotel, enjoy a farewell dinner whilst relaxing with a glass or two of champagne.
