Race 1 Report
The circuit conditions for the first 25 minute race had improved since the
morning’s qualifying sessions; this meant that all cars started on slick tyres.
Chris Kemp driving the Stratton Motorsport # 91 car led as the lights went out,
but Chris had left his traction control on, meaning Pierre Mantello, in the
Stratton Motorsports with Immun`age and Osato # 22 car, would pass him to
lead by the end of the first lap. Kenneth Greenberg, in the Stratton Motorsport
with TeamWrinkle200 # 62 car, was in third but pushing Chris very hard for
second position. On lap 3 Kenneth got passed Chris by going down the inside at
the first corner, Tarzan.
At the end of lap 4 the safety car was brought out because one of the
Corvettes had crashed at the back of the circuit. The race restarted on lap 6
with Pierre still leading in #22 from Kenneth in # 62, third was Chris Kemp in #
91 and fourth was Andreas Baenziger in the Aston Martin St Gallen # 76
machine. The safety car was brought out again on lap 9 for another accident
involving the second Corvette, two BMW M3`s and the pit wall, this was a very
big accident meaning the chequered flag came out two laps later while the field
was still behind the safety car. Pierre Mantello won the race to make it 6 out of
7 victories for the # 22 crew.
There was a very closely fought battle going on for fifth spot with Sid Sadique in the # 88
Stratton Motorsport with 88 Racing car holding off Kenneth Greenberg in the Stratton
Motorsport with TeamWrinkle200 # 62 machine, he in turn was being pushed very hard
by Ben Gulliver in car # 8 and Desmond Smail in the Mardi Gras # 5 machine.
Desmond Smail in the # 5 Mardi Gras car was having a great battle with Chris Kemp in
the # 91 Stratton Motorsport car and the # 62 Stratton Motorsport with TeamWrinkle200
entry of Kenneth Greenberg.

Bouche now driving the Stratton Motorsports with Immun`age and Osato # 22 car
failed to make the start of the race with drive shaft issues. Stuart Hall now driving
the Stratton Motorsport # 91 car led the field away at the start, he was dicing
with the Dutch GT competitors and managed to get up to 12th overall before
