Every Aston Martin is a unique combination of world leading design, authentic materials and advanced technology - communicating all of these model features through our Digital channels is now a key part of how we engage with both customers and the larger base of users who engage with us through AstonMartin.com.
Earlier this year we began work on a unique challenge. In August we unveiled Touchtronic III, the advanced new eight-speed transmission devleoped for both the 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish and Rapide S. Alongside this new transmission came a host of technical and engineering enhancements including our latest generation of engine, the AM29 V12, and new Bosch engine management system co-ordinating engine to transmission communication to enhance engine efficiency.
We knew that to explore these key technical features in addition to revised design aspects, such as new exterior and interior paint and leather finishes, needed an immersive website experience which took the user on a journey inside, outside and underneath the skin of our flagship and four-door sports car. Creating a dedicated microsite which could capture the attention of our users and offer them a unique step-by-step guide through each car was our goal.
Utilising the skills of two agency partners, digital specialists Grandad Digital and visualisation experts Golden Square, we worked to marry a strong user experience with stunning graphics and a clear focus on the new features of Vanquish and Rapide S. Many months in the planning and development - with meticulous attention paid to the intricacies of our new transmission - we were delighted to release the finished 'web specials' both of which are now featured on our product pages.
