ROOF
DBX S lets drivers specify a new optional carbon roof with a glorious single weave pattern that adds a more performance-focused aesthetic. It replaces the standard glass-panel roof with a 40.9 square-foot carbon-fiber option, making it the largest all-carbon roof ever to adorn an Aston Martin. It also offers a reduction of 40 lb of mass from the very highest point of the car. Helping to lower the SUV’s center of gravity and further enhance overall stability and handling agility.
SIDE
Seen from the side, the stunning DBX S profile now features new sills with highly distinctive up-turned air splitters, which channel airflow along the car’s streamlined flanks. The iconic side strakes can be specified in carbon fiber along with the wing mirrors and lower door sills, and form part of a new visual design language. One that is signed off with the highly distinctive S badge. Like the legendary Aston Martin wings, these badges are manufactured in solid metal, glass enameled with the “S” infilled in red. The surround is chrome-plated in either bright or dark chrome to match the chosen wing color.
MAGNESIUM. ENGINEERED TO PERFORM
DBX S heralds the first time that lightweight 23″ magnesium wheels* have been made available on a luxury SUV. And, taking influence from the mid-engine Valhalla supercar, they deliver an appropriate aesthetic to mirror the astounding S performance. As a material, magnesium is robust yet incredibly lightweight—75% lighter than steel. Half the weight of titanium. A third less than aluminum. Exclusively available for Aston Martin, they are available in 23″ satin black and satin titanium gray. DBX S is also available with 23″ forged aluminum wheels as standard in a suite of styles and finishes.

V8. THE HEART OF A SUPERCAR
DBX S sports an engine built in-house and enhanced by technology transferred directly from the forthcoming Valhalla supercar. Engineered to deliver more surging power and performance than ever before. At its heart lies an upgrade of the 4.0-Liter Twin-Turbo V8. A new total output of 717 HP makes it the most powerful production luxury SUV in the world fitted with only an internal combustion engine. Power that offers drivers greater urgency at the very top of the rev range, making the DBX S performance even more memorable. A new quad stacked exhaust has also been specifically tailored to the new turbochargers, to reduce back pressure and offer even more thunder to the iconic V8 voice note.
TURBOCHARGED BY VALHALLA
The all-conquering power of DBX S is born of turbo technology transferred directly from the mid-engine Valhalla supercar. This includes “Hot-V” mounted twin turbos, larger compressor wheel diameters, and other improvements that deliver a further 20 PS [20 BHP], totaling a segment-defining 727 PS [717 BHP]. The extra urgency is delivered when revs reach in excess of 6,000 rpm courtesy of turbos that now spin faster than on any other Aston Martin, hitting a massive 160,000 rpm. A higher and wider torque band delivers a thunderous surge of acceleration for longer. For drivers, this means a more thrilling response at the top end of the rev range. The results are class leading: 0–62 mph time of just 3.3 seconds and a reduction in acceleration time from 0–124 mph (200 km/h) of 0.3 seconds. Top speed at an impressive 193 mph.
LIGHTWEIGHTING
Exclusive to DBX S are a number of optional lightweighting measures giving heightened dynamic and handling capabilities, and a more engaging and responsive driving experience. An overall reduction of up to 101 lb of mass offers a significant reduction in curb weight. The new optional carbon-fiber roof removes 40 lb of mass from the highest point of DBX, meaning a lowered center of gravity for enhanced dynamic reactions.
Lightweight 23″ magnesium wheels liberate 42 lb of unsprung mass and rotational inertia to improve steering feel, linear predictability, and tracking over undulating surfaces. Carbon aero winglets around the daylight running lights and an impressive single-piece carbon rear panel save another 15 lb. Combined with an optional gloss black honeycomb polycarbonate grille, which pares away another 7 lb of further mass, these elements work together to improve weight distribution and sharpen steering to enhance the already class-leading dynamic capabilities of DBX.

TRACK-RACING DNA. PULSE-RACING RESULTS
F1®-derived technology courses freely within the dimensions of an SUV. DBX S distributes power between front and rear wheels in variable proportion—including an ability to send 50% of its torque to the front and, when needed, up to 100% of torque from the powertrain to the rear wheels alone. This is made possible through an innovative nine-speed “wet clutch” automatic gearbox, which removes the need for a conventional torque converter. Multi-plated. Oil-cooled. It delivers extreme performance on launch. The DBX gearbox has been further modified to provide a heightened driving experience. Change-up points are calibrated to reflect the SUV’s extended rev range. Gear changes are 30% faster compared to a traditional automatic clutch, allowing DBX S to deliver the racing agility, raw power, and hyperresponsive feel of a supercar.
A SINGULAR CARBON PROP SHAFT
The DBX S prop shaft is woven from super-lightweight carbon-fiber fabric and is an advanced engineering achievement from the Aston Martin team. Shaped via technology born of the racetrack, it is built to withstand prodigious levels of torque—over 664 lb-ft—and designed to propel the driver at supercar speeds. From 0 to 62 mph in just 3.3 seconds. With an equally impressive top speed of 193 mph. The carbon prop shaft is intricately fused as a one-piece shaft to negate the need for a central bearing. This eliminates vibrations that would otherwise conduct through the cabin floor and corrupt the driver’s focus, and adds a new level of smoothness even during more intrepid bursts of acceleration.

RACETRACK REACTIONS
A combination of increased power with new set-up changes allows DBX S to further elevate its ceiling-shattering performance. Greater driver expression comes courtesy of programmable ESP. Body control is firmed up with revised calibration of both the air springs and electronic dampers, increasing transient body control to help minimize weight transference and so improve primary ride quality and stability. SUPERCAR SUSPENSION
DBX S features an intelligent e-differential that provides remarkable clamping loads to give a greater range of dynamic performance. Additional fine-tuning of the traction calibrations directs power to each wheel to push expressive driving further. A carefully tailored formula of triple-chamber air suspension, electronic variable dampers, and eARC anti-roll control creates even greater driver handling feel, ride quality, and overall stability. Finely tuned dampers eliminate squat when Launch Control starts. While eARC improves stability throughout the body. Even at the very limit, standard electronic roll control means the DBX S rolls no more than 7/10th of a single degree, enough to create the natural feel of the car cornering yet keeping the vehicle flatter than many purpose-built, two-seater sports cars.
