Intensity. Driven.

We have an unstoppable quest for profound gratification.

A desire to capture the pure human emotion of the driving experience.

To create a connection between driver and sportscar so deep and so strong it becomes addictive.

It’s the sense of absolute performance meeting exquisite luxury.

It’s the feeling that causes your neck hairs to raise and your heart to jump as soon as you hear the engine start.

It’s the stomach-wrenching, eye-widening, pulse-racing pleasure as you put your foot down and drive.

It is Intensity. Driven.

A brief history of the Aston Martin ‘wings’ logo

In 1927 Aston Martin introduced a new badge, in the shape open wings to replace its previous round logo. In 1930 the badge was redesigned and now had tapered, pointed wings, in a V shape.

1932 was the year the logo took the form most people associate with ‘Aston Martin’. The wings acquired feathers, while the company name was elegantly inscribed in silver within a centrally positioned black rectangle.

During the 1930s, Egyptology had become increasingly popular. Ancient Egyptians revered the scarab beetle as an extension of the sun god – they signified new beginnings. Inspired by this, and as a nod to the restructuring of the company’s ownership, the logo was designed by racing driver and The Autocar editor Sammy Davis. The badge was first seen on the Aston Martin racer, LM1, which Davis bought and adapted to become his everyday driver. The new logo began to appear on marketing materials and, eventually, on all Aston Martin production cars.
